When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade right? When it gives you cancer....what do you do?

On Christmas Day 2024 I found a lump. I was missing my mom so much that I was really struggling that day. I wasn't feeling well and went into my bathroom to just get away for a moment. I put my hand on my chest and realized there was a lump that isn't normally there.

Thankfully things were able to move quickly. From seeing my doctor on Jan 7th, to diagnostic imaging on the 13th, biopsy on the 16th and results on Jan 20th 2025. This has been the most intense couple of weeks of my life so far.

I have been diagnosed with triple negative, invasive ductal carcinoma. An aggressive, faster moving breast cancer.

Because of the size and aggressiveness, they have already told me that I will start treatment with Chemo. I do not know how much will be done first but then it will be followed by surgery and then more treatment. The types and lengths of what I will need will be determined after more testing.

I get to meet my oncologist next week and I am hoping to be able to get started with treatment quickly. So far the team of people I have been able to work with has been incredible.

I am keeping my head high and staying as positive as I can! I will do everything I can to not only fight this, but I want to come out even better on the other side!

I took care of my mom (with help from family) through her cancer journey and her passing so I know how hard this is going to be physically, mentally, emotionally and financially. Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers.

Since 2016, I have been working with companies to help families purchase educational programs at greatly reduced rates! I continue to look for new programs each year and I am hoping to add a few more for 2025.

I was just diagnosed with a form of aggressive breast cancer in Jan 2025. I am going to do everything I can to keep this website running smoothly so you don't even noticed but I am bringing in my kids (now adult!) to help run things when I can't.
